History

Since the company's foundation, LICARD System has reached and firmly held leading positions in Russia by the number of gas stations that accept payments by fuel cards. This is further facilitated by modern technologies, which are being actively and timely implemented by LUKOIL-Inter-Card and its extensive network of branches across the country.

Between 2008 and 2013, the company has successively opened several overseas offices responsible for the development of LICARD System in Europe. A comprehensive program for improving the level of services, launches of federal promotional campaigns, and creation of round-the-clock hotline allow the company to provide high level of services and comfort to its customers.

In 1997, the first regional division of LICARD System was opened in Volgograd on a pilot basis.

In 1999, the LUKOIL-Inter-Card company was established. In that same year the company opened representative offices in 13 cities of Russia, and LICARD System came out on top in the country by the number of gas stations that accept payments by fuel cards.

In 2001, first bonus cards for individual use were released.

Launching of LUKOIL Customer Loyalty Program.

Opening of overseas offices responsible for the functioning and development of LICARD System in Europe.

Implementation of "LICARD-Processing" — the new technology platform that helps with provision of customer service for cardholders at LUKOIL gas stations; introduction of card acceptance on the basis of the two most popular contactless technologies — PayPass and PayWave.

Implementation of service network based on Universal Fuel Card for international carriers abroad.

Implementation of a comprehensive program for improving the level of services for the customers of LUKOIL gas stations in Russia. Introduction of LUKOIL Unified Hotline.

The launch of federal promotional campaigns for the members of LUKOIL customer loyalty program.

In 2016, several major campaigns took place at the company's gas stations.
